- Dr. Amy ChenDentist
Amy is the newest addition to the Bishop Dental team. She recently moved to New Zealand after spending the past 12 years in Australia pursuing her dental degree at The University of Adelaide and
thereafter practicing in Adelaide, South Australia.
Looking for a change in scenery, she set her sights on the greener side of the Tasman and never looked back!
Amy is of a kind, gentle and caring demeanour. She is a firm believer that every person deserves to be treated with respect and the highest level of dental care. Over the past several years, she has made multiple trips to Cambodia and East Malaysia to provide basic dental care to the rural communities there. She is committed to continuing this venture in the future.
Aside from dentistry, Amy enjoys baking, spending time with friends over good coffee and at times finds herself snuggled in bed with a hot cuppa tea and a good book.
Amy very much looks forward to meeting you here at Bishop Dental.
- Dr. Katherine FowlerDentist
Katherine graduated from the University of Otago with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS). Upon completion of her studies she returned to her home-city of Auckland and joined the wonderful team at Bishop Dental. Whilst Katherine takes pleasure in the variety that general dentistry provides as a whole, she has a proven success in, and particularly enjoys prosthodontics (dentures and crowns) and paediatrics.
She considers patient satisfaction a genuine reward. After all, a smile is the shortest distance between two people. Katherine prides herself on her communication skills. Aiming to make her patients as comfortable as possible in an often times a daunting environment.
Outside of dentistry, Katherine is passionate about traveling and sports. Partaking in tennis, skiing and the occasional half-marathon. Despite the recent move she is still an avid supporter of the Highlanders. Sometime her two loves combine. In early 2016 Katherine provided dental care to a community in rural Cambodia. She hopes to continue volunteer work in the future, both overseas and within her own borders
